A year in the life, part 6

Alpha and omega 3

The recent posts about Alpha and Omega Days have been filled with surprises. In part 4, we dug into movies and the NFL. In part 5, we explored NASA and the earth, plus a nightmare with a massive snake. Today we’ll continue looking for connections between the first and last day of the month. What did July hold? What truths were revealed?

Last time, I wrote about doors. Will there be doors today?

The opening and closing of the doors
The Holy Spirit helps me. He challenges me. He opens certain doors for me. And he closes other doors. That door part is key. When a certain door is opened, I notice. When a different door is closed, I also notice.

July 1—the alpha day

Last year, July was Freedom vs. Slavery Month. It was also Door Month.

On the first day of July, Brandon, Logan and I went to Capernaum Studios north of Weatherford for a Revolutionary War re-enactment. The weather was 79 degrees and rainy—strangely cool for Texas in July. We were so thankful for the respite from the heat. (Two days later, the temperature soared back up to 100 degrees.) My favorite part of the Revolutionary War re-enactment was hearing Patrick Henry’s famous speech, which ended: “Give me liberty or give me death!”

Boldly seeking and speaking the truth
This section from the first paragraph of Patrick Henry’s speech, given 249 years ago, causes my heart to skip a beat. It speaks to us powerfully today.

For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfil the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offence, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

You may be thinking, What does any of this have to do with today? We aren’t on the verge of slavery.

Really?

The land of the free and the home of the brave

Consider the “freedom” represented in the following:

1. The Great Reset and the Georgia Guidestones
The stated purpose of The Great Reset, carved on the Georgia Guidestones, being the death of 13 out of 14 people on earth. (For more, scroll down to the videos below the boxes on this Time to Free America page.)

2. Censorship
Blatant censorship of truth-speakers, patriots and Christians.

3. Illegal immigration and the border crisis
Joe Biden’s role in illegal immigration and the border crisis, documented by (a) the House GOP, (b) the Heritage Foundation, and (c) Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Attorney General Paxton’s statement ends with this important eye-opener: Because of President Biden’s shocking disregard for the U.S. Constitution and rule of law, Attorney General Paxton has been engaged in over 50 lawsuits with the Biden Administration, more than 15 of which are related to border security and immigration. 

4. CCP infiltration
The Chinese Communist Party’s infiltration of U.S. corporations, labs, universities and more.

5. Surveillance of citizens
Unconstitutional surveillance of U.S. citizens by the FBI and local law enforcement agencies using stingray technology.

6. Nefarious indoctrination of children
Indoctrinating elementary school children into the gender fluidity lie, transgender ideology, etc. (Read this post for more—about how children are sterilized when puberty blockers are taken at age 12 or younger followed by cross-sex hormones.)

7. Big Pharma’s lies and censorship
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s lawsuit against “Pfizer for Misrepresenting COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy and Conspiring to Censor Public Discourse.”

8. Usurping our freedoms and protections
The National Archives Records Administration placing a “harmful content” warning on the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents.

9. Election fraud
Election fraud found in multiple lawsuits. Also, watch 2000 Mules to see, with your own eyes, the election fraud in the 2020 U.S. election.

10. Armed government agencies targeting citizens who refuse to be silent
Weaponizing the federal government’s 3-letter agencies against We The People—with parents who protested at school board meetings being labeled “domestic terrorists” by the DOJ and the FBI.

11. Illegal drugs
The CIA’s partnership with drug cartels. Watch America’s War on Drugs. See this post for an important, brief commentary.

12. Indoctrination of college students
Dangerous Marxist control of colleges and universities.

13. Government, mainstream media and Big Pharma in collusion
COVID-19 vaccine deaths and the extreme fear-mongering perpetrated by mainstream media and the government against the people, documented in Died Suddenly and many other sources.

14. The orchestration of violence on the streets
Riots, anarchy and Black Lives Matter. Watch The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM.

15. Public and professional attacks against dissenters
The lawsuit won against the FDA regarding its blatant efforts to keep doctors from prescribing readily-available Ivermectin to successfully and safely treat COVID-19. Government agencies and the mainstream media conspired to ruin doctors who provided quality care to their patients by prescribing Ivermectin—in opposition to government “vaccine” mandates.

Are we free?

Are citizens “free” from illegal aliens flooding our country by the millions? Are we “free” to elect our own representatives in fraud-free elections with accurately-counted votes? Are children “free” from emotional abuse and indoctrination ­in public schools, the results of which can lead to long-term, whole-person harm—mental, emotional, physical, relational and spiritual harm—and sterilization? Are patients “free” from harm at the hands of doctors and nurses who pushed harmful, and, in many cases, deadly “vaccines”? Are college students “free” from Marxist indoctrination in our nation’s universities? Are U.S. citizens—We The People—“free” to speak out against the crimes being committed against us and our children? Ask the patriots in prison.

Yes, indeed. July was Freedom vs. Slavery Month. Do we live in “the land of the free and the home of the brave”?

Red-pilling, a la 18th century
The next paragraph in Patrick Henry’s famous speech reminds me of the red pill and blue pill subjects covered in the last post. Do we yearn for the ugly, unvarnished truth or do we hide in wishful thinking or in someone else’s deceitfully-crafted false reality?

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.

From denial to truth
Patrick Henry’s questions beg us for answers today. Do we have eyes and not see? Do we have ears and not hear? It’s easier not to see and not to hear disturbing things. It’s easier to live in a state of complete denial about traumatic events. It’s easier to hope for the best. It’s easier to wish that the disturbing truth—the evil—will just go away or magically morph into goodness. It’s easier to fantasize that someone else will take care of the problem staring us right in the face.

I was hit with this reality last week.

Truth revealed
Last Wednesday, the Lord gave me a nightmare with a massive snake trying to kill me. I realized that the snake was Linda, my sibling. On Saturday, I acknowledged more serious realities. My contacts with Linda in February—described in my journal and visible on my phone—revealed two things she did that matched these warning signs for violence: (1) Speaking in “we” terms, and (2) Loan sharking. I corrected my last post. Instead of Linda displaying 3 warning signs for violence—as I’d written previously—she actually exhibited 5 out of the 8 warning signs for violence.

The facts were clear. And the warnings from the Lord were clear. Now I had to put the puzzle together. What did this mean?

Leader of the pack
I was confronted with the truth. Like my dad and Pam, Linda is a narcissist. I finally realized that serious reality on Saturday. I knew she was conceited and condescending, but I hadn’t acknowledged the bigger picture. Why was she contacting me every month and playing all her cards this year? Since Pam died in December, did Linda feel the need to take up the gauntlet and exert her new authority as The Lead Narcissist? Apparently so.

Like I wrote in last Thursday’s post: “I will not play.”

Shutting the door
On Sunday morning before I got up, I was wondering what texts I might receive from Linda this weekend while she was in town for the eclipse, especially since I ignored both her dinner invitation and her last text.

The Holy Spirit asked me, in the still, small voice in my thoughts, “Would you leave the door open for a snake?” I thought, Obviously not. He was telling me, clearly, to block her from my texting app, so I did. The temptation was there to leave the door open so I’d have more juicy, rude, colorful remarks to put on this blog, but the drama comes at a high cost, emotionally-speaking. The Holy Spirit knew what was best. Shut the door. Now. I’m so glad I did. I immediately felt a sense of relief. Later that day, I blocked her phone numbers too.

Out of hiding
For 60 years, I was in denial about the truth of what Linda is—a narcissist. She stayed in the shadows all those years—hiding in her room while we were growing up and then playing second fiddle to Pam, The Almighty. Now she’s in the light, doing her thing very boldly. Linda’s asserting herself as The New Mob Boss.

God’s clarity and protection
God communicated with great clarity: “She’s extremely dangerous.” My decision was equally clear. It. Is. Over.

The Lord is my protector. I’m standing on Psalm 91:9-13 and praying for the Lord’s complete protection from Linda’s evil. Lord, be my refuge, my shield and my strength.

The call to choose bravery
Let’s return to Patrick Henry’s landmark speech. It ends with this vital question and answer:

Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

The call to choose God Almighty
The end of Patrick Henry’s speech reminds me of Joshua, who challenged the people of Israel long ago:

“If it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:15, New Heart English Bible

In other words, you must make a choice. Choose today.

Remember, in addition to being Freedom vs. Slavery Month, July was also Door Month.

The village
After the Revolutionary War re-enactment on July 1, I toured the village used for some of the filming of the first season of “The Chosen.” Since it was rainy outside, very few people were there. What a wonderful experience. The next month, Brandon and I started watching “The Chosen”—at just the right time. We were richly blessed.

July 31—the omega day

The last day of July was filled with everyday kinds of things—working from home since it was a Monday, grocery shopping, Logan working on a group project for his summer school class, Brandon cooking steaks, and watching a very sweet program, “The Zoo”—about the Bronx Zoo.

Slavery
How did July 31 tie in with Freedom vs. Slavery Month? My pal Charlene read part 3 of Tearing Down the Barriers to Forgiving, a post about slavery and how it demonstrated the dangers of Us vs. Them thinking—the polarizing of groups of people. She texted me her thoughts.

Monday, July 31
Journal entry

I loved [Charlene’s] insights. “Ignorant and afraid… that’s how slave owners of the past and present want everyone to be….”

So true.

What are Big Tech, Big Pharma, the government’s 3-letter agencies, and the mainstream media pushing? Ignorance and fear. They use matching, regurgitated “talking points” filled with lies, orchestrated to keep people afraid. Why? Traumatized, fear-based people are easy to control and manipulate. Explore two sections in this post, Why? and Trauma, to drink in the purpose and effects of trauma.

Freedom
Why are Christians hated by the deep state—the oligarchs? The darkness hates the light. They can’t own our souls. We belong to God.

And we are not afraid. The Holy Spirit makes us brave—if we’re willing to be.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7, King James Version

Peaceful Reader, are you enslaved to something or someone? Is there an area of your life where you are decidedly not free? Are you a truth-seeker and a truth-speaker? Are there places or relationships in your life where it’s unsafe to speak the truth? Are you struggling with fear or anxiety?

Is God calling you to be brave? Pray and ask him to help you and to give you wisdom.

The door
Was there a door demonstrated on July 31—The Omega Day of Door Month? Actually, yes—in a somewhat obscure, yet beautiful way.

Charlene wrote about the song at the end of the post she read that day. She asked if Brandon could still sing “Deep River.” He sang it in a contest in high school. The spiritual “Deep River” paints a beautiful picture of crossing over a deep river from life on earth to eternity in heaven. This crossing over can also be viewed as walking through a door—from one place to a very different place. (Read Imagine Heaven—one of my favorite books.)
