The beauty of the Bible, part 8

Esther—the cost of silence

Today on Choosing Peace you’ll read about a mantra, a music video, math and much more.

The response
Chapter 3 of Esther ended with the Jewish people being notified about their annihilation—scheduled for a particular, fast-approaching date. This evil plot came from Haman, the king’s top dog.

As you can imagine, Mordecai was not silent.

Mordecai tore his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and wailed loudly and bitterly.
Esther 4:1b, New Heart English Bible (NHEB)

The revelation and the fear
Queen Esther heard about her dad, Mordecai—“and the queen was exceedingly grieved” (Esther 4:4b, NHEB). She had no idea what was going on. Esther sent the eunuch assigned to her to find out what was happening. Mordecai gave the eunuch a copy of The Annihilation Decree, with instructions for Esther.

Mordecai knew what needed to happen. Queen Esther needed to plead for her people’s lives to her husband, King Xerxes. She needed to stop the genocide. There was only one problem. By law, anyone who went before the king without being invited was put to death—unless the king held out his golden scepter. It had been 30 days since Queen Esther was called in to see the king.

She was afraid—and rightly so.

The truth, the prophecy and the question
Mordecai sent this reply to Esther:

“Do not think to yourself that you will escape in the king’s house any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish….”
Esther 4:13b-14a, NHEB

The truth
Translation: “Esther, your position and your address will not protect you from genocide.”

Then Mordecai basically said, “God will deliver us.” The Mighty One who delivered the Jews from slavery in Egypt would deliver them now. Mordecai knew it. Mordecai’s strong faith in God reminds me of the bold faith of three young men who spoke to King Nebuchadnezzar roughly 100 years earlier—before he had them tossed into his blazing furnace.

Mordecai knew the Jews were God’s chosen people. He knew this genocide, orchestrated by Haman, would not take place.

The prophecy
Mordecai also knew that if Esther failed to speak for her people, there would be serious consequences. It would be the end of the line for her. “…if you remain silent… you and your father’s house will perish.”

The question
Mordecai’s reply culminates with a question—one of the most important questions in the Bible. In part 1, I shared my 12 favorite scriptures. This question was listed second.

“Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14b, NHEB

God had given Esther favor. Incredible favor. God had given a royal position to a lowly exile. Was this the reason why? Esther, were you brought into the palace and the king’s heart so you could save your people? Is this your purpose?

Mordecai asked a question that begged—that compelled—a response.

The cost of silence
If Queen Esther tried to speak to the king without receiving his permission, she would be killed. It was the law. Silence would be easier in the short-run, but would definitely be deadly in the not-too-distant future, given the genocide decree. The annihilation of the Jews loomed on the calendar.

Peaceful Readers, what is the cost of silence today? What is the cost?

The reset
The events that initially got our attention in March 2020—the virus, the quarantine, the masks—ultimately gave many people, myself included, a monumental reset. A personal reset. A work/life balance reset. An awareness reset. And that was vital. We came out of the fog of Life As We Knew It. We left the matrix.

The restrictions and the extreme social pressure didn’t make sense. Something was very wrong. We didn’t understand what was going on or who was responsible. Until we did. Thank you, Mel K. and other truth-speaking patriot podcasters.

We learned about the globalists AKA the cabal AKA The Black Hats and their sinister plan: The Great Reset. Scroll down on this Time to Free America page to listen as the globalists explain each component of The Great Reset in their own words. To dig into many related topics, click on the boxes at the top of the page.

How long have the globalists been planning The Great Reset? This timeline goes back to 1971.

Early warning
In 1987, the popular rock band R.E.M. released one of their big hits—“It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).” It was fun and hip. Or was it? The song title has a creepy resemblance to this World Economic Forum mantra: “You will own nothing and be happy.” (Did you know that the ridiculously-wealthy globalists call us “the useless class”? Scroll down to the video on this page.)

Back to the song from the late 80s. What’s the big deal? We’re just talking about some Top 40 song lyrics, right?

Loud and unclear
Consider some of the lyrics from this fast-moving, very-difficult-to-understand song.

It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Team by team, reporters baffled, trump, tethered crop
Look at that low plane
…overflow, population, common group, but it’ll do
Save yourself, serve yourself
World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed
Tell me with the rapture and the reverent in the right, right
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light…

It’s the end of the world as we know it [2 times]
It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine

Six o’clock, TV hour, don’t get caught in foreign tower
Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn
Lock him in uniform and book burning, bloodletting
Every motive escalate, automotive incinerate
…Watch a heel crush, crush
…A tournament of lies
Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline

Not so fun and hip anymore, is it.

The video and the push
If I’d seen the music video at the time, I would’ve thought That was weird. Now, in hindsight, I get it. The video is dark and apocalyptic, with a young teenage boy in a bombed-out house. The boy treasures two things: A photo of a dead relative and his skateboard. The band sings again and again: “It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.”

Entertainers can push those lies all they want; but now that we’re awake, we know what they’re doing. And they’ve been doing it for decades. That song was released more than 35 years ago.

The name and what they lost
I learned some interesting things when I read about the band in question, R.E.M. The scientist who coined the term REM (i.e., Rapid Eye Movement during deep sleep) contacted the band to see if that was the meaning of their name. The reply was unusual: “The band was named ‘not after REM sleep.’” Did they say that to keep from getting sued? Or was their name a statement about the people—in a deep dream-like state even when we were supposedly awake. Hearing but not understanding. Seeing but not perceiving. Hmmm. I wonder.

In their early days, R.E.M. rehearsed in a church in Athens, Georgia. One of their later hits was “Losing My Religion.” I think that says it all.

The greater purpose
Mainstream media, Hollywood and the music industry worked tirelessly to prepare the masses for The Great Reset. And they rocked it. They really did.Doing the math
Peaceful Readers, how about a shift from music to math.

I didn’t even have to turn on any technology to get one of my favorite pieces of news in 2020. (As you probably know, I do not watch mainstream news.) Here’s the backstory. The mainstream news anchors were going ballistic about 1,000 people having died of COVID in Texas “in one month!” My chiropractor checked with an actuary—a death stats guru—and learned that more than 1,700 people die every day on average in the great state of Texas. Why does that matter, pray tell? Let’s do the math.

If more than 1,700 people die every day in Texas, that means more than 51,000 Texans die, on average, per month. Does it make any sense for the Paid Propaganda Pushers to freak out about 1,000 Texans dying in one month from a virus? Uhhh, no. Those deaths represented less than 2% of the normal monthly death rate, which wouldn’t even be a minor blip on the radar—if people knew the truth. But the truth wasn’t allowed, was it. The baseline, everyday statistic was conveniently left out of the “news” story—I mean the Nazi-like propaganda.

The message and the conspiracy
Get in line, peeps—I mean losers! We’ve got a worldwide pandemic on our hands. Actually, the truth-speakers called it The Plandemic. And they were right.

Peaceful Readers, I must emphasize this fundamental truth. The Great Reset is not a conspiracy theory. It is an actual conspiracy—an evil plot. See the timeline of The Great Reset, including buildings that were built and books that were written. Dig into these short videos and listen to the orchestrators of destruction.

Oblivious
Decades ago, we danced and sang the chorus to “It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine),” but we had no earthly idea what the band was singing. They sang so fast. We figured it didn’t matter. This happy song was just written to entertain us. Or so we thought.

We were oblivious.

The key
The global elites told us what was coming, but we didn’t understand it.

COVID-19 was the key that unlocked the door
and brought the conspiracy home.

The punishing
It wasn’t only the dramatically-pushed, non-stop mainstream news propaganda about COVID-19 that changed people. A punishing mentality came growling and snarling into view. And many people didn’t seem to mind. We were pressured to polarize ourselves into “us” and “them” camps. So we did. Watch Died Suddenly to see the mainstream media’s aggressive role—instigating the punishing about “the vaccines.” You will be livid. (If you’re not livid, ask yourself why.)

Canceled. Fired. Ostracized. Lied about. Arrested. Kicked off this or that “social” media venue. The wrong opinion, the wrong words, the wrong beliefs labeled “hate speech.” Seriously? What happened to the First Amendment? What happened to free speech? Control on steroids = The Road to Communism.

Read this excellent Forbes article about The Cancel Culture and see the Time to Free America censorship page.

Strength
Surprisingly enough, the far-left’s physical, societal and spiritual violence created in the conservative majority a strength, a boldness, a conviction that simply wasn’t there before. Alternate news sources were created. People started talking about Big Picture issues. I think that reality—the push-back from solid, patriotic Americans—was vastly underestimated by the global elites.

We wouldn’t bow down to the evil.
We came out of hiding. We The People said no.

Reality therapy
If you need some reality therapy—I mean a better understanding of what’s been going on—dig into The Documentaries 1.0 in this recent post and explore Time to Free America.

Here’s the important thing to remember. Healing comes from the truth—even when the truth is very disturbing. When we’re misled by lies, we’re stumbling around in the dark. When we see, receive and speak the truth, we can begin to discern how we need to respond. The cost
So, what’s the answer to the question I asked earlier?

What is the cost of silence today?

The cost of silence remains the same as it was for Queen Esther. Life or death. If you don’t believe me, watch Died Suddenly—and watch it all the way to the end of the credits after Dolly Parton sings. Yep. Good-as-gold Dolly Parton, who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Sit down and prepare to learn the truth. About many things.

Esther’s answer
Let’s get back to Esther. How did she answer Mordecai’s all-important question?

“Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14b, NHEB

Esther replied:

“Go, gather together all the Jews who are present in [the city], and fast for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day. I and my maidens will also fast the same way. Then I will go in to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.” So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
Esther 4:16-17, New Heart English Bible

A call for help
Esther chose rightly. “Yes, I’ll do it. And I desperately need your help.” She needed her people to cry out to God on her behalf.

Who gave Esther the strength and wisdom for her decisions? For her requests? God did. Esther’s help would come from the Lord.

The fast
Why did Esther ask her people in the royal city to fast—to abstain from food and water?

The purpose of a fast is to seek God, pray and replace our physical need for sustenance with an increased reliance on God. Most fasts involve abstaining from food for a specific length of time. Abstaining from water as well represents a very extreme, highly-unusual fast. (Note: People can’t survive for more than three days without water.)

Because their situation was extreme,
Esther called for an extreme fast.

Extreme times
Like Esther, we’re living in extreme times.

The death machine 2.0
Consider this. Back in the 60s and 70s when I was growing up, there was no such thing as a memory care facility. Now there’s one in every zip code and many of us will end up in one of those places—spending our life savings dying a slow, silent death. Does that not alarm you? Does that not make you ask, “Why did this happen?” “Who is behind it?” “How did they do it?”

By contrast, how do people die in rural Africa? Not in a memory care facility. If these “I don’t know who or where I am and I can’t speak” deaths were a natural thing, we would see them consistently worldwide from the dawn of time. But we don’t.

Remember the mantra from The Great Reset—brought to you by Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum: “You will own nothing and be happy.” The Georgia Guidestones told us their plan to eliminate 93% of the world’s population. Do you not see it? Watch Died Suddenly for details of how evil minds and feet are marching forward to achieve their goal.

(The death machine 1.0 is abortion.)

Not happy
I remember my mom’s face as she faded away in a memory care facility. She was not happy. She was alone and afraid.

She was silent.

Time to speak
Like Esther, like every person ever born, you are here for such a time as this. Is God calling you to speak truth to someone? Perhaps a truth you’ve been afraid to speak? Pray and ask God for courage and wisdom. Ask a trusted friend—or a group—to join you in praying. That’s what Esther did.

Time to share
Is it time for you to share one of these recent posts with someone? With more than one “someone”? I sent part 6 to friends of mine who are avid COVID-vaxxers. I pray that they’ll watch Died Suddenly—recommended in that post. Most of all, I pray that they’ll accept the truth.

It’s painful to admit when you’ve been seriously duped. I get that. I really do. We’ve all been deceived.

The deceiver
Satan is The Deceiver of the whole world. Whether you’re sincerely aware of that truth or you’re having trouble believing it, I highly recommend the movie Nefarious. Do not be deceived. The Bible tells us many things about spiritual warfare. To explore these subjects more, go to these sections in the index: Evil, The Occult, Satan and Warfare—Psychological and Spiritual.

Choose life

These are the words of the covenant which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel….

“I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants; to love the LORD your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days….”
Deuteronomy 29:1 and 30:19-20a, NHEB

Remember
All is not gloom and doom. Key players—The White Hats—and many citizens are working tirelessly to fight against evil in our world. More on that in a future post. They were chosen for such a time as this.

And so were you.

Remember from part 7:

God. Is. On. His. Throne.
I hope that encourages you today.

I think the song below will encourage you too.

Coming next: Today’s post surprised me. Come back next time as we continue to explore the amazing story of Esther—the lowly exile who became the majestic queen.

Thanks for reading and for Choosing Peace.

Blessed by truth and music
Peaceful Readers, I’m deeply blessed by God’s word and music. I hope the scripture and song that I share at the end of each post will bless you too.
